Daniel Griffiths named Associate Partner at LDB Group

Daniel Griffiths, Associate Partner at LDB

LDB is proud to announce the promotion of Daniel Griffiths to Associate Partner, in a significant addition to our leadership team. Daniel, who joined LDB as a graduate accountant in 2010, has continuously demonstrated exemplary expertise, innovative thinking, and dedication to client service, making him an indispensable asset to both his clients and to our team.

Recognition for dedicated service, and client outcomes

In welcoming him to the partnership, LDB Partner John Beasley recognised what’s special about Daniel’s ability to connect with both clients and colleagues.

“Dan’s passion for helping people, both externally with our clients, and internally with our staff, is what makes him a valuable member of the partnership group. This passion translates into tangible benefits for LDB and its clientele. His approach always fosters a positive environment that enhances staff motivation and client engagement, leading to better service outcomes.”

Those client outcomes are their own reward for Daniel, who is always seeking solutions that improve his client’s day-to-day lives. Whether it’s something simple like maintaining compliance, or more complicated like structuring a business for expansion, or growing personal wealth, with this ethos Daniel has steadily grown his client list as he’s recommended to others.

“Being a good accountant and advisor is truly built off working hard for your clients,” he says, “With the greatest compliment being a word of mouth referral.”

The journey to partnership

After discovering an aptitude for accounting and economics at school, Daniel went on to study both at  La Trobe University, and joined LDB as a graduate. In a career spanning more than 14 years, Daniel has made the journey from graduate accountant, to management, to partnership.

“Public practice accountancy attracted me at the end of my studies,” said Daniel, “As it offered the chance to interact with and help a wide range of people in their business and taxation affairs. It has been a far broader career path than I could ever have imagined.”

It’s Daniel’s passion for people and building long term, trusted relationships that has seen him build success over more than a decade at LBD. He sees accounting as a people business, and deeply values the personal connections he has been able to form with both colleagues and clients over the journey.

“I have evolved and grown with many of the clients I worked with as a young accountant 13 or 14 years ago as their needs have also evolved and grown,” said Dan, “Many I still work with to this day. These long term adviser relationships are built on trust and can only be genuinely earned over time.“

A founder of the future of the firm

New thinking and innovative ideas that enhance the client experience will be important at LDB, as the next generation of leaders begin to steer the firm into the future. John confirms this is one of the reasons he is excited about Daniel’s appointment.

“I look forward to having Dan’s enthusiasm and new ideas in the partnership. He is so passionate about finding the best outcome, and that leads to him looking for new and better ways to do things, both on the client side, and with our staff.”

In his new role as an Associate Partner, Daniel is excited to be able to make more impact with his strategic thought leadership, and advance the firm’s use of technology to enhance service delivery.

“The next decade will see incredible advances in technology,” said Daniel, “I’m keen to see how we can enhance what humans do well to deliver better outcomes for our clients,”

When not at work, Daniel enjoys loyally following the mighty (and sometimes not-so-mighty) St Kilda Football club, playing indoor soccer with friends, and spending quality time with his partner Erin and their dog Abby. His commitment to personal as well as professional growth reflects his well-rounded approach to life and leadership.

“LDB gave me my first opportunity out of university for which I will forever be grateful for. To now be given a further opportunity to contribute to the future of the business which has become my second home is exciting and I can’t wait to get going.”

Daniel’s promotion is not just a personal achievement but a significant enhancement to LDB’s capability to serve its clients with innovative solutions and dedicated service. As he steps into his new role, Daniel is committed to upholding and advancing the firm’s ethos of ‘Working as One’ to provide comprehensive and timely solutions to meet and exceed client expectations.

We congratulate Daniel Griffiths on his well-deserved promotion and look forward to his continued contributions to the firm’s success.
