LDB Group has again been recognised as one of Australia’s leading accounting firms, claiming a spot in the Australian Financial Review’s (AFR) Top 100 Accounting Firms for 2021.
LDB’s Managing Partner Luke Henry said placing on the AFR’s Top 100 Accounting Firms list was a testament to the company’s hard work and resilience, especially during what has been another turbulent year.
“This accolade truly is a reflection of our great team at LDB Group, who all work tirelessly to support our clients. We are very proud of this achievement,” he said.
The AFR list reveals that accounting firms are continuing to grow, with demand from clients seeking assistance navigating the COVID-19 pandemic boosting revenue across the majority of accounting firms nationwide.
Smaller accounting firms, especially those with a focus on tax-related advice, have grown at a much faster rate compared to larger firms that offer broader advisory services, the AFR report said.
The data collected for the report shows “just how much the business community – especially smaller companies – rely on their accountants during tough times”.
This is a sentiment that Mr Henry agrees with.
“This year has again shown us why financial advisers are invaluable during the pandemic. Our clients have relied on our support and strategic advice to navigate the challenges faced during these unstable times,” he said.
“As we have continued to adapt to changing tax rules and faced ongoing lockdowns here in Melbourne, accountants who stay abreast of the legislation are incredibly valuable in being able to translate and pass on that knowledge to clients.”
Australia’s largest accounting firms grew income by 4.3 per cent to $12.3 billion, 92 of the Top 100 firms recorded an increase in income over the financial year, three posted flat income, and only five had revenue shrink during the 2021 financial year, the AFR report added.
With LDB Group coming in at number 57 on the AFR Top 100 Accounting Firms list, Mr Henry said it was recognition of the company’s commitment to its client base.
“Our clients continue to seek us out for proactive and helpful advice, and we’re dedicated to upholding our standard of service,” he said.
LDB Group offers a range of services including business advice, as well as guidance on superannuation, property, tax and compliance, and loans and finance.
