LDB Group has placed in the Australian Financial Review’s Top 100 Accounting Firms for 2020, demonstrating the company’s growing success.
LDB’s Managing Partner Luke Henry said inclusion on the AFR’s Top 100 Accounting Firms was recognition of the success of LDB and its relationship with its clients.
“As a five-partner firm, we are punching well above our weight,” Mr Henry said.
The AFR list reveals that small-to-medium accounting firms are growing quickly and meeting a spike in demand for their services, with the pandemic-related recession being a key reason for the growing need for traditional accounting services.
A raft of state and federal government measures, such as JobKeeper, to deal with the country’s lockdowns and the constantly changing rules around them, have meant accountants who stay abreast of rules and legislation are in demand to pass that knowledge on to businesses and workers.
The AFR’s annual crunching of the numbers showed revenue at mid-tier firms rose by 9.4 per cent to $2 billion, compared to the big four consulting firms – Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG and PwC – which increased revenue by 6.6 per cent to $9.1 billion collectively.
With LDB Group coming in at number 52 on the AFR Top 100 Accounting Firms is a reflection of LDB’s strong client base, Mr Henry said.
“Our long-standing clients return again and again for proactive advice, particularly in these troubled times,” he said.
“The inclusion on the list reflects our continued growth even throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.”
LDB offers a range of services including business advice, as well as guidance on superannuation, property, tax strategy and compliance, and loans and finance.
